The thesis by Vinícius F. Wasques, who did his doctorate at IMECC, was recently awarded the Best PhD Thesis Award 2019 at the EUSFLAT congress.
Vinícius' work had already been selected as the best thesis in the 2019 Applied Mathematics program and he also received the best thesis award at NAFIPS (North American Fuzzy Information Processing Society) in 2020.
