Molana Jalalodin Barkhi

Jalal al-Din Balkhi (1207–1273) was a Persian poet, Islamic scholar, and Sufi mystic whose poetry and teachings have had a lasting influence across cultures and generations. He was born in Balkh (present-day Afghanistan) and later moved to Konya (in present-day Turkey), where he spent most of his life.

His most famous work is the Masnavi, a six-volume spiritual and mystical poem that explores themes of divine love, unity, and the journey of the soul. His poetry, written in Persian, has been widely translated and is celebrated for its depth, emotion, and universal wisdom. His association with Sufism led to the formation of the Mevlevi Order, known for its whirling dervishes, a form of meditative dance symbolizing spiritual ascent.
