In this field are included the following algorithms:
- GMM: a sequential quadratic programming algorithm that uses trust regions, proposed by Gomes, Maciel and Martínez.
- GMM99: a variant of the GMM algorithm that combines merit functions and filter ideas.
- DCI: an algorithm that adopts a "dynamic control of the infeasibility" (with the introduction of "trust cylinders") for solving equality constrained problems. Proposed by Bielschowsky and Gomes.
- DCICPP: an algorithm that applies the "dynamic control of the infeasibility" ideas to the solution of inequality constrained nonlinear problems. Proposed by Gomes and Siqueira.
Nonlinear programming algorithms
ARPACK++: A c++ wrapper for the fortran ARPACK eigenvalue library. No longer mantained.
Belong to this field:
- A sequential piecewise linear programming algorithm for solving topology optimization problems under geometric nonlinearity, proposed by Gomes and Senne.
- A sequential linear programming algorithm for topology optimization, proposed by Gomes and Senne.
- A inexact restoration algorithm for solving bilevel problems in truss topology optimization. Proposed by Friedlander and Gomes.
- Matemática básica: a two volume introductory book (in portuguese) on various topics of arithmetic, algebra and geometry. This book is designed as the textbook for the courses MA091 (Basic math) and MA092 (Plane and analytic geometry), taken by the ProFIS (undergraduate) students. Some chapters of the first volume are already available. Click here to download a copy of them.
