Damir Kinzebulatov — Singular SDEs and interacting particle systems

The course will focus on some new PDE/operator-theoretic and probabilistic techniques that provide new insights into the theory of SDEs in critical regimes. These are the regimes that arise in the dynamics of certain particle systems with strong attracting interactions, for example of the Keller-Segel type. The link to the general theory of SDEs provides rather powerful tools for modifying and constructing interaction kernels, and for constructing mean-field limits.

    Campinas

Campinas is a Brazilian municipality located in the state of São Paulo, approximately 100 kilometers northwest of the city of São Paulo. It is an important economic, technological, and academic center and hosts one of the most prestigious public universities in Brazil, the University of Campinas (UNICAMP). UNICAMP is consistently ranked among the top universities in Brazil and Latin America and is responsible for approximately 15% of the country’s scientific research output. Its main campus is situated in the Barão Geraldo district, a suburban area about 12 kilometers from downtown Campinas. The Institute of Mathematics, Statistics, and Scientific Computing (IMECC) is one of the academic units of UNICAMP. IMECC is recognized for its strong research activity and high-quality infrastructure, providing an excellent environment for education and scientific development.

  • Matiz Barão Geraldo Hotel
  • Hotel Pousada Universitária
  • Pousada Flat da Lagoa
  • Transport

From Viracopos Airport (VCP – Campinas)

    • Take Bus Line 193 from outside the terminal to the Campinas Central Bus Station (Rodoviária de Campinas). This is the local city bus connecting the airport to the city center. More information: IMECC – How to Get There
    • From Campinas Bus Station, take city bus Line 332 or Line 330 toward UNICAMP / Hospital das Clínicas and get off near the campus.
    • Alternatively, take the LiraBus airport shuttle from Viracopos Airport to Campinas Bus Station. Tickets are sold at the airport. See: LiraBus

From Guarulhos Airport (GRU – São Paulo)

    • Take the LiraBus shuttle directly from Guarulhos Airport to the Campinas Bus Station. This is a direct coach service and takes approximately 2 hours.
    • From Campinas Bus Station, take city bus Line 332 or Line 330 toward UNICAMP (Barão Geraldo).

From Campinas Bus Station (Rodoviária de Campinas)

    • Take Bus Line 332 toward UNICAMP / Hospital das Clínicas and get off near the campus.
    • Alternatively, take Bus Line 330 toward UNICAMP.
    • You may also travel to Terminal Barão Geraldo and then use local buses serving the UNICAMP campus.

    Additional Notes

    • Campinas city buses usually require a transport card or QR-code ticket. More information: UNICAMP Mobility Guide
    • Taxis and ride-hailing services (Uber, 99) are available from all locations and offer a faster, though more expensive, alternative.

How to Circulate at UNICAMP Campus

UNICAMP has an extensive campus located in the Barão Geraldo district, with academic units, research institutes, hospitals, restaurants, and student housing spread over a large area. Several transportation options are available for moving around the campus efficiently.

    Internal Shuttle Buses

    • UNICAMP operates free internal shuttle buses that circulate within the campus, connecting main academic buildings, institutes, libraries, restaurants, and parking areas.
    • These buses run on regular schedules during weekdays and reduced schedules on weekends and holidays.
    • Maps and timetables are available on the UNICAMP mobility website: UNICAMP Transportation Services
