A message from the Brazilian mathematical community
As the presidents of Sociedade Brasileira de Matemática (SBM) and Sociedade Brasileira de Matemática Aplicada e Computacional (SBMAC), we are very pleased to announce the Brazil-China Joint Mathematical Meeting, to take place on August 10th to 14th, 2026 in Luiz Correia, Brazil. This event is co-organized with our colleagues in the Chinese Mathematical Society.
Since the 1940s, Brazilian Mathematics has always benefited from its strong international connections. The goal of this meeting is to strengthen our connections with the Chinese mathematical community, whom we view as a strategic partner for the Twenty-First Century.
The Joint Meeting will consist of five days of plenary talks, thematic sessions and posters presentation. Additionally, there will be ample time for informal discussions. We hope these activities will stimulate many future research projects and exchanges between our countries.
We welcome our colleagues in Chinese and Brazilian Mathematics to the Brazil-China Joint Mathematical Meeting.
