Campinas is a Brazilian municipality in São Paulo State. Is located about 100km from São Paulo city and host one of the most important public university of Brasil, the University of Campinas (UNICAMP). Unicamp is consistently ranked among the top universities in Brazil and Latin America and is responsible for around 15% of Brazilian research.
UNICAMP main campus is located in the Barão Geraldo district, a suburban area 12 kilometers from the center of Campinas. The Institute of Mathematics, Statistics and Cientific Computation (IMECC) is inside unicamp and has a very good infra-structure.

Registration
Registration fee
The event was initially going to happen in 2020 but, due to the Covid 19 pandemic, it was rescheduled for 2021. Those people who signed up for the 2020 event and paid the registration can request a refund via email (brazilian.school.probability@gmail.com with email subject: "Registration payment request: complete name") or, if they wish, request the registration to the new event. In this case, the amount previously paid will be considered as payment of the new registration fee. Either way, we ask you to fill out the registration form again.
We kindly ask that the Brazilian residents pay the registration fee with as much antecedance as possible. The registration fee is
R$300 for professors and postdocs
R$150 for students (Free for IMECC - Students)
Members of the Bernoulli Society have a reduced fee (by 20%). Please indicate this membership when sending the transfer receipt.
If for some reason, after you have registered, you need to cancel participation, please let us know as soon as possible.
Inscriptions and payments will be accepted until May 30.
About financial support
Students participating in the two weeks of the SÃO PAULO SCHOOL OF ADVANCED SCIENCE ON SINGULAR STOCHASTIC PARTIAL DIFERENTIAL EQUATIONS AND THEIR APPLICATIONS will be prioritized for the financial support.
Registration form and support
The registration can be done via the registration at the São Paulo School of Advanced Science on Singular Stochastic Partial Differential Equations and Their Applications. Please follow this LINK.
About
The year 2021 marks the twenty-five edition of the Brazilian School of Probability (EBP). The EBP is an international event which has been running since 1997. From its start it has been a meeting point for high level researchers and an excellent opportunity for young students to learn about different aspects of probability theory from world leading experts. It has therefore contributed to the growth of our area in the country.
This year edition will be special. It will be preceded by the first week of the São Paulo School of Advanced Science on Singular Stochastic Partial Differential Equations and Their Applications (SPSAS),
and it will happen during its second week. The first week of the SPSAS will in two mini courses lay the foundations for the two courses offered at the EBP.
Moreover, as in previous editions the program will be enriched by invited talks, short talks and poster sessions.
Past Editions
Short history...
The first edition of EBP was held in Rio de Janeiro, back in 1997 (see the photo of the event at the end of this page). Since then, it has been organized annually, by IMPA, ICMC-USP, IME-USP, IM-UFRJ, IMECC-UNICAMP, UFMG, UFPE and PUC-RIO, receiving support of several scientific societies and research agencies.
It is now a traditional international event on probability theory and stochastic processes, and has considerably contributed to the strengthenning of these research areas in Brazil and South America.
The reader will find below the list of the 23 previous editions. Various of these editions gave birth to special volumes that we list first.
