Last Sunday the first international course about Seismic Processing and GêBR took place at AGU 2010 — Meeting of the Americas. In the course, a synthetic data set was modeled and processed, introducing the basic concepts of acquisition geometry, filtering, deconvolution, velocity analysis, NMO correction, stacking, and time migration.
The whole computational environment was set up in just few minutes with GêBR Live DVD. All flows constructed during this course will be available soon for download, as well as the related documentation.
Tomorrow 4pm at CB04/UNICAMP, Fabrício M. Gonçalvez, the Development Manager of the GêBR Project, will present a technical talk about the practices employed in the GêBR development. The target audience is primarily composed by software engineers. The talk is held by the Free Software Seminar conducted by Islene Calciolari Garcia, from UNICAMP’s Institute of Computing. Everyone is welcome to join. No registration is needed.
June 18, Ricardo Biloti gives a talk about GêBR during a seminar hosted by Pre-Salt Project at USP. This event is promoted by Programa de Pós-Graduação em Energia da USP – PPGE (USP’s Energy Graduate Program).
Biloti will present a broad vision of the GêBR Project, highlighting achievements and anticipating news for the next months.
